6-channel HD Audio codec, DUAL SPDIF

The 92HD73C codec is a low power optimized, high fidelity, 6-channel audio codec compatible with Intel’s High Definition (HD) Audio Interface. The 92HD73C codec provides stereo 24-bit resolution with sample rates up to 192kHz. Dual SPDIF provides connectivity to consumer electronic equipment that is WLP compliant. The 92HD73C provides high quality, HD Audio capability to multimedia notebook and desktop PC applications.

Part ID	Description	Recommended For New Designs Recommended For New Designs	Package Package	Temperature Temperature	ADC Mono Ch # Number of ADC channels. An ADC is a stereo pair for L (left) and R (right) channels. A stereo ADC has 2 mono channels.	DAC Mono Ch # Number of DAC mono channels. A 6 channel codec has 3 stereo DAC pairs or 6 mono channels. The stereo pairs consists of L (left) and R (right) channels of data.	Analog Voltage The analog voltage is the operational voltage of the codec. Options are 3.3V or 5V. Different part numbers are used to distinguish.	HDA Bus Voltage The HDA (High Definition Audio) Bus initially started as 3.3V only. Later a 1.5V option was added. So newer IDT codecs can support both 1.5V or 3.3V. The selection on most devices is done with the DVDD_IO pin. Some parts in reduced pin count packages are not selectable and must be ordered by the specific voltage.	Port Count Number of ports on the codec. A port is the input and/or output count and does not relate to the number of DAC channels. For example, an 8 channel codec has 4 stereo DAC pairs for the 8 mono channels and depending upon the IDT codec can have from 6 to 9 ports.
