The IDT Arbor Clock Tree Design Service was specifically launched to help designers with clock tree design. The Service’s process begins with a designer spending ten to fifteen minutes with an IDT application engineer to detail the specifications, such as input frequencies, output frequencies, output signaling type, output loads, jitter requirements, skew requirements, cost constraints or space constraints, to name a few. In less than a week, and many times within 48 hours, IDT will return a completed clock tree that meets design requirements and constraints, using the most optimum components available on the market. Often, this means using all IDT components and sometimes it means using a combination of IDT and IDT competitor’s products. Realizing that this is a “design” service, IDT focuses on providing the designer with an overall solution.
