Mobile Multimedia Interconnect

Accelerate Inter-processor Communication in Media Rich Handsets with the Industry's First Synchronous Mobile Multimedia Interconnect (M2I)

The IDT mobile multimedia interfaceTM (M2I) is the industry's first synchronous multimedia interconnect fully-optimized for very high performance, low power multimedia applications in high-end mobile terminals. A significant advance over previous generation devices, the M2I delivers up to 6x the performance of previous generation devices, providing veryhigh speed multimedia and data services. It does this while achieving 90% less battery drain than previous-generaion devices, significantly increasing talk time and battey life. By using fewer GPIO pins, the M2I also enables greater handset differentiation, and reduces the bill of materials and simplifying printed circuit board layout.
