TAIPEI, TAIWAN, COMPUTEX, June 4, 1997-Centaur
Technology today at Computex announced the appointment of Joseph Baranowski
vice president of sales and marketing. In his new role, Baranowski will
direct the development and execution of Centaur's strategic plans, including
product introduction, positioning, target marketing and customer support.
Centaur, a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT), recently introduced the IDT-C6
processor, a Pentium®-class microprocessor designed for the low-cost
desktop and mobile personal computer (PC) market.
"We are excited about Joe's addition
to the growing Centaur team," said Glenn Henry, president of Centaur
Technology. "Joe has the sales and marketing expertise to bring these
first products to market successfully, while at the same time establishing
a strategic plan and long-range product roadmap."
Baranowski brings more than 20 years
of semiconductor industry experience to Centaur. Most recently, he served
as vice president of sales and marketing at OKI Semiconductor for seven
years, managing its North American semiconductor division. He has also
held sales and marketing positions at Siliconix, Zoran, Intel and Fairchild
Semiconductor.
Baranowski received his bachelor of
science degree in electrical engineering from Monmouth University in
Long Beach, New Jersey and a master of science degree in electrical
engineering from New York University. He is a member of the IEEE and
the Association for Corporate Growth.
