ThreadX Adds Support for IDT's RISCore32300 Architecture

- Express Logic today announced ThreadX support for IDT’s RISCore32300
processor architecture. Express Logic’s ThreadX provides real-time embedded
developers who use the RC32364 processor with the most technically
advanced multitasking solution on the market today. Express Logic’s
picokernel design results in very high-performance and extremely
small memory requirements - requiring less than 4Kbytes for minimal
usage. ThreadX also provides applications using the RC32364 processor
with significant technical innovations including extremely fast software
timers and a mechanism to help reduce context switching called preemption-threshold.
IDT’s RC32364 microprocessor provides
embedded developers with unprecedented price/performance advantages
and was the industry’s first processor to break through the 10 cents/MIPS
barrier. Because of this, the RC32364 processor is already making a
substantial impact in high-performance and cost-sensitive communications
applications.
ThreadX fully supports the RC32364 microprocessor
and is fully committed to support for future members of the RISCore32300
family. In addition, ThreadX is completely compatible with all MIPS
development tools and has recently added full integration with MULTI
from Green Hills Software. This integration also includes the best ThreadX
kernel aware support on the market today.
