IDT Introduces Advanced Proprietary Graphic User Interface (GUI) for Use with IDT High Definition Audio Codecs

SAN JOSE, Calif., February 25, 2008IDT® (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; NASDAQIDTI), a leading provider of essential mixed-signal semiconductor solutions that enrich the digital media experience, today introduced a significant upgrade to its proprietary advanced software graphic user interface (GUI), intended to simplify audio use and management in PC systems which include an IDT audio codec.  The IDT HD sound GUI, available with all IDT PC audio codecs, provides an improved audio user experience through its intuitive and user-friendly user interface and controls. Moreover, the HD sound GUI allows end-users to differentiate their individual desktop and notebook PCs through customization of the GUI image while allowing IDT customers – OEMs and ODMs – to include their branding information on the visible interface. 
 
The GUI enables IDT customers to provide end-users with maximum, yet easy-to-use, control of a PC audio system by providing complete audio customization. The IDT GUI provides intuitive initial individual set-up, input/output audio jack configurability, and allows end-users to dynamically adjust their audio experience based on application, environment, and content. The GUI provides a centralized location to configure and adjust audio endpoints and applications while intelligently managing the audio characteristics and capabilities in use in the system, even as users run standard audio application software such as audio or video playback, voice chat, and VoIP telephony.

The IDT GUI provides simple, easy to find and use management of all audio interfaces and enhancements on a PC. In addition, the GUI provides a family of “mini-panels” allowing the user to manage, in a side-bar window, specific audio characteristics and applications. The initial release of the new GUI provides an advanced Karaoke Mixer with dynamic vocal elimination; Voice over IP (VoIP) microphone processing enhancements; and a music mini-panel allowing for dynamic adjustment and monitoring of audio equalization settings. The IDT GUI is fully supported by all IDT PC audio codecs on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.  The IDT GUI allows end-users to enable and configure various audio plug-ins in Windows Vista and is optimized for compatibility with all third party independent software vendors providing better usability during applications such as VoIP calls. The GUI enables IDT to further leverage its in-depth knowledge of what end-users want and need in their various audio experiences, to allow desktop and notebook users to experience digital audio media through a unique combination of high-fidelity hardware, intuitive applications software, advanced driver and usage model support, and worldwide OEM support.
