IDT Named Finalist for Three Prestigious UBM ACE Awards

IDT Entrepreneur Selected as Finalist for “Innovator of the Year” and Two Products Selected for “Ultimate Products” Awards from UBM Electronics Presented by EE Times and EDN

SAN JOSE, Calif., February 15, 2012– Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT®) (NASDAQ: IDTI), the Analog and Digital Company™ delivering essential mixed-signal semiconductor solutions, today announced that it has been selected as a finalist for three UBM Electronics ACE Awards presented by EE Times and EDN. IDT’s Michael S. McCorquodale, Ph.D., is nominated for the “Innovator of the Year” award, while the IDT LDS700x PureTouch® full-resolution touch controller and 3LG CystalFree™ solid-state oscillator are nominated for “Ultimate Products” awards.

“We are honored to see one of our engineers nominated for Innovator of the Year, along with two of our products up for Ultimate Products titles,” said Dr. Ted Tewksbury, president and CEO at IDT. “These nominations are a testament to our success in developing innovative timing and mixed-signal solutions. Our system-level approach to solving problems brings value to our customers in key markets, such as 4G wireless infrastructure, cloud computing and mobility.”

Michael S. McCorquodale, Ph.D., is the general manager of the Silicon Frequency Control group at IDT and a senior member of the IEEE. McCorquodale is nominated for Innovator of the Year for his pioneering work to successfully realize the simple and highly desired concept of replacing mechanical quartz crystal oscillators with all-silicon (CMOS) oscillators.

The IDT 3LG family of ±50 ppm CrystalFree solid-state oscillators is nominated for the Ultimate Products award in the Analog IC category. The IDT 3LG crystal-oscillator (XO) replacement products save up to 75 percent power and can be used in a broad range of applications requiring a ±50 ppm timing reference, including computing, communications and consumer markets. IDT’s 3LG family of solid-state oscillators recently claimed the 2011 Product of the Year Award from Electronic Products magazine.

The IDT LDS700x PureTouch touch screen controller family is a finalist for the Ultimate Products award in the Human-machine Interface category. The LDS700x is the world’s first touch screen controller IC optimized for IDT’s proprietary single-layer multi-touch projected capacitive touch screen technology. This touch screen technology and controller offers a true single-layer solution with full multi-touch capability. The result is a lower-cost option that does not sacrifice features or performance in handheld gaming platforms, personal navigation devices and mobile handsets with screen sizes up to five inches.
