Solid-state Drive (SSD): Internal / External

A solid-state drive (SSD) is a data storage device that uses integrated circuit assemblies as memory to store data persistently. SSDs are replacing traditional hard-disk drives in both enterprise servers and notebooks. SSDs do not employ any moving mechanical components and offer a number of benefits of SSDs including higher read/write performance, higher reliability and lower power consumption.
