A DSLAM (digital subscriber line access multiplexer) is a network device that connects the DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) interface of customers to a high speed digital communications channel by multiplexing. DSLAMs are placed in telephone exchanges and other remote locations to increase the range of service where DSL can be provided.
