PCI Express® (PCIe) Clocks

PCI Express® is the one of the most widely used high-performance peripheral interfaces in the world. From its origins in graphics, PCI Express has been adopted in fields as diverse as servers, storage, networking, instrumentation and consumer. This broad application space requires multiple solutions to address the different performance, BOM cost and board space tradeoffs that each application demands. IDT's strong position with leading computing, networking and consumer customers and our participation on the appropriate standards bodies allows us to offer optimized PCI Express clock and timing solutions (in short, PCIe clocks) for any application.

Industry-leading PCI Express Clock Solutions

IDT has a history of firsts in PCI Express clocking and timing: The first PCIe Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3 clocking solutions (includes PCIe clock generators and PCIe clock buffers); the industry's first very-low power PCI Express clock generator (1.8V); and the industry's first ultra-low-power PCI Express clock generator (1.5V), which is the world's lowest power PCIe clock generator. Whether your system is architected using the popular common-clocked architecture, the less prevalent separate reference clock with no SSC (SRNS), or the newly proposed separate reference clock with independent SSC (SRIS) architecture, we have the optimal PCI Express clock solution to meet your needs. Find your ideal PCI Express clock generator, synthesizer, buffer, or multiplexer from IDT's large selection of PCIe clocks.

About the PCI Express Standard
PCI Express, officially abbreviated as PCIe, is a high-speed serial computer expansion bus standard designed to replace the older PCI, PCI-X, and AGP bus standards. PCIe has numerous improvements over the aforementioned bus standards, including higher maximum system bus throughput, better performance-scaling for bus devices, a more detailed error detection and reporting mechanism, lower I/O pin count and smaller physical footprint, and native hot-plug functionality. IDT offers a large selection of PCIe solution products, including PCIe clocks, switches, bridges, and signal integrity products.
