Driver MOSFET Modules (DrMOS)
IDT offers integrated MOSFET-plus-driver (DrMOS) power stage solutions for energy-efficient, high-current, high-frequency, synchronous buck DC-DC applications. The ultra-compact solutions enable area-constrained and high-performance applications, such as servers, storage units, processor boards, field-programmable gate array (FPGA) boards and others. IDT’s DrMOS devices are compatible with some of the configurable digital power management system controllers for non-isolated POL supplies and other pulse-width modulation (PWM) controllers.
About the DrMOS Integrated Power Stage
DrMOS is acronym for an IC containing both a MOSFET and MOSFET driver. A major issue in the performance of discrete synchronous buck converters is parasitic impedances due to bond wires, package pins, and board traces. DrMOS eliminates most of these unwanted parasitics by integrating the high power functions together in the same package and/or die. The pinouts of the ICs can be optimized to accommodate optimal placement of input bypass capacitors to further reduce parasitic inductances and switching current loop area.
