IDT offers industry-leading solutions for the evolving satellite communications market in mmWave systems with a complete portfolio of RF beamformer ICs and RF Timing solutions. The high-performance and small size of our phased-array solutions offer a compelling portfolio covering the multiple bands and multiple architectures used in SatCom, weather radar, test and measurement and other applications that utilize phased-array antenna.

Three families of Tx and Rx silicon ICs support Ku, Ka and CDL frequency bands and are designed to simplify the implementation of a phased-array antenna.

What is Beamforming?

Beamforming (or spatial filtering) is a signal processing technique to enable systems to shape and point signals at a specific target which can be mounted on a fixed object (such as a cell tower) or a mobile one (such as a vehicle or ship) to create stronger, faster and more reliable wireless communication. An access point uses multiple antennas to send out the same signal. Beamforming can be used at both the transmitting and receiving ends
