IDT DDR3 Register Device and PCI Express Switching and Timing Solutions

SAN JOSE, Calif., January 6, 2009 – IDT® (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; NASDAQ: IDTI), a leading provider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions that enrich the digital media experience, today announced support for Intel® Xeon® processor based on Nehalem which includes production ready, PCI Express® (PCIe®) switching and timing solutions and Intel-validated Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) register.

IDT extends its DDR3 memory interface leadership with aJoint Electron Device Engineering Council(JEDEC)-compliant integrated register and phase-locked loop (PLL) for DDR3 registered dual in-line memory modules (RDIMMs). The SSTE32882HLB supports the wide range of operating clock speeds, from DDR3-800 to DDR3-1333 with the capability to reach DDR3-1600 speed, and surpasses key requirements for clock dynamic offset, jitter and setup time.Moreover, the device includes expanded built-in test and debug capabilities to facilitate design, test and debug of new RDIMM module designs.
The IDT server solution also includes PCIe Gen2 switching and timing solutions. The IDT switching solutions provide high performance I/O expansion specifically targeting the needs of servers and workstations. They also minimize power consumption, maximize performance-per-watt, and reduce total cost of ownership and thermal design complexity. The IDT timing solutions exceed the demanding PCIe Gen2 and Quick Path Interconnect™ (QPI) phase jitter requirements of Intel® Xeon® processor based on Nehalem.
