SAN JOSE, Calif., September 24, 2009 – IDT® (Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDTI), a leading provider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions that enrich the digital media experience today announced a favorable ruling issued yesterday by the International Trade Commission (ITC) in a patent action brought by LSI Corporation against several semiconductor companies, including IDT. In the ruling, the ITC found that the patent claims asserted by LSI were invalid.
LSI had alleged that IDT and the other defendants in the action violated section 337 of the Tariff Act which prohibits the importation and sale of infringing products. Based on the finding of invalidity, the Court held that no violation of section 337 has occurred with respect to the asserted claims.
The full ITC Commission has until November 21 to determine whether to review the initial determination of the judge or allow it to become final.
With the goal of continuously improving the digital media experience, IDT integrates its fundamental semiconductor heritage with essential innovation, developing and delivering low-power, mixed signal solutions that solve customer problems.
