Ultrasound System

Ultrasound systems, typically used for medical diagnostic purposes, use high frequency ultrasound waves to penetrate a medium and measure the reflection signature or supply focused energy to give some indication of the structure within the medium. Typical diagnostic sonographic scanners operate in the frequency range of 2 to 18 megahertz, where choice of frequency is a trade-off between spatial resolution of the image and imaging depth.
